Sunrise over the bay in Santa Cruz. Lunch in San Francisco, across the Bay Bridge, then northbound on the 5 freeway. Camped out at the BBCRC.

Play Mountain Place, Los Angeles

今日はマットの大学の時の友達が働くPlay Mountain Placeという学校に行った。ここは普通のスタイルではなく、子供が自分たちで考えて学びたいことを学ぶ学校、子供たちが自由に学び遊べる。とても興味深いところだった。夜になるとマットの大学の時の友達がみんな集まってご飯を食べた後Halloweenの jack-o-lanternを作った。私にとって初めてのjack-o-lanternのできはどうでしょう？
Bukhansan National Park, Korea

今日はソウル市内から一番近くにあるBukhansan National Park に行った。韓国は岩でできた山が多いらしく、見た感じ私の実家、岡山の玉野の山みたいだった。日本と同じく、中高年の人たちがトレッキングを楽しんでるみたいで、パワフルなおじちゃん、おばちゃんが多かった。

First meal in Korea. The lady there told me the noodles I was ordering were very very hot. I almost decided to get the regular noodles but thought I should get the full Korean experience. So instead of listening to the warning I was given, I went ahead with my original order. I almost died. My eyes watered, my face turned red, and my nose ran. I felt like there were a bunch of Koreans jumping up and down having a party in my mouth.
